New glasses.

What a difference it makes when you can see! FINALLY got my glasses today; my mom and I kept forgetting and putting it off etc. You know how life gets in the way sometimes. Thanks to VSP insurance! They are Jonathan Cate "MOODS" black plastic frames and not only do they look good, but I can see stuff far away that I couldn't before. It's really a treat. My Geek Is Showing

I was surfing the internet today and I came across this really cool Harry Potter Wizard's Collection widget. I added it to my blog and here is a link to the site too;  http://www.harrypotterwizardscollection.com/.

It costs too much, but I would love to have it. It's a little sad that there are no more Harry Potter movies to look forward to. Maybe J.K. Rowling will write more Harry Potters; who knows?! She could write about the lives of Harry's parents before they were killed, but I guess that would make for a sad ending.

Summer Reading Assignment

Hello!

So, when I registered for school last week, I was given a summer reading assigment! This really only gave me a week to read the book and fill in the book report worksheets! Luckily, I already read this book in seventh grade. I finished the assignment yesterday, just in time! Off to a good start (with my English teacher anyway).

Back to school...

Hello!

School starts this week in our town. I decided to go with a pretty backpack instead of the usual nylon backpack you find everywhere! This one is made by Olsenboye and I got it at JC Penney. It is a canvas/cotton-like material but it is strong.

Last week we had freshman orientation where we got our lockers and combinations and books and assignment notebooks and class schedules. This is going to be an interesting year!

Toms shoes continued...

I was surfing the internet this morning and I saw somebody had posted that their Toms shoes fell apart in the washing machine. So.......DON'T PUT YOUR TOMS IN THE WASHING MACHINE. As I previously posted I use Shout It Out on mine! I think any detergent could be used. My mom uses Era for everything.

So, I love my Toms shoes. It's amazing that a shoe this simple could be so popular. It must be the fact that when you buy a pair, they give a pair to a less fortunate person. For the price, the shoe is very basic, but again there are actually two pairs for that price. I got the neon pink, and I love them. I get compliments on them all the time. They do tend to get dirty since they are canvas, but you can use Shout It Out or regular detergent to clean them. Just be sure to allow time to dry before you want to wear them again.

I would recommend Toms shoes for school girls with style! Thanks for reading and see you soon.
